Maple Deer Snack Sticks

This recipe contains the flavor of maple syrup to make a sweet tasty snack stick. Use the real maple syrup for this one. It'll be worth the extra cost.

5 pounds of ground up deer meat
2 tablespoons canning salt
1 1/2 teaspoons Tender Quick®
1 1/2 cups of maple syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Combine the salt and Tender Quick® with the ground deer meat. Knead the meat thoroughly to mix in the salt mixture. Place the meat in the refrigerator for two days, mixing well twice each day. Before mixing for the last time, add the remaining ingredients. Mix very well,then form into rounds and dehydrate.
