Pumpkin Beer Recipe

There is pumpkin beer and ale on the market. You can brew your own at home. If you already make home brew, the extra steps are easy. These steps were given to me by a friend, who is took a course in home brewing. While I enjoy beer, I have never brewed it myself. The instructions below only address the added steps, not the complete brewing process.

All grain brewing:

Add two pounds of pumpkin meat to your mash. Either steam the pumpkin and remove the flesh or pumpkin puree

Mash.

Add spices at the end of the boil.

Try adding a little nutmeg and/or cinnamon spices.
