Mitt Romney's Meatloaf Cakes

    1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    3/4 cup dried bread crumbs
    1 large egg
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    juice and zest of one lemon
    2 teaspoons salt
    pinch of cinnamon
    pinch of curry powder

Sauce:

    1/4 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/4 teaspoon ground allspice



    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
    In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic, lemon juice and zest, salt, cinnamon, and curry powder.
    Shape the meat mixture into six to eight small loaves.
    Space evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
    While the loaves are baking, mix ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, cloves, and allspice in a small bowl.
    When the meatloaf cakes have baked for 15 minutes, brush each loaf with sauce and return to the oven.
    Bake the loaves for an additional 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Serve with the remaining sauce, and enjoy!
