Food for the Ice - Grilled Bluegill

1lb pound of bluegill
3 tsp melted butter
1 1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cup Italian salad dressing

Clean Fish removing the entrails and scales, and fillet.   Preheat the broiler and the broiling pan.  Brush the fish liberally with lemon juice inside and out.  Sprinkle fillets with salt and pepper, take out the broiling pan and place butter on the bottom and let melt, arrange the fish coating both sides with butter.  Baste the fish with Italian dressing.

Broil the fish for 5-6 minutes – when the fish starts to brown baste and turn for another 5 -6 minutes.  The fish should flake easily with a fork.

Lakeshore Outdoors like many, always enjoy a good beer batter recipe.  This recipe works great on a camp-stove.  Try this one when it is fish night with your buddies around your camp-site. The best tasting is when cooked in your good ole cast iron skillet.

(can be cooked on the ice with a grill or a hot plate and a cast iron skillet)
