Brian's Original Chili

1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of ground pork
1 large onion
1 green bell pepper
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 cans of crushed tomato
1 can baked beans
1 small can of corn
crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)
jalapeno peppers (1/2 the seeds removed) diced (to taste)
beer
Jack Daniels

Start to brown the beef and pork in separate pans. DON'T cook all the way through!. Once the meat is about half way done, drain the fat add a can of beer into the pan with the beef and a couple shots of Jack Daniels into the pan with the pork. Simmer on low heat for a half an hour. Add more beer or Jack Daniels if meat gets too dry. Place meat (including remaining cooking liquid) into a crock pot. Add the crushed tomato, onion, pepper, garlic, beans, corn, pepper flakes and jalapeno. Cook on the lowest crock pot setting for at least 12 hours, lifting the lid to release steam every hour or so. Add another beer whenever enough evaporation occurs to add more liquid to the crock pot. Garnish with green onion, sour cream and cheese. Serve with crackers.
